FastAttach™ improves revenue cycle management by allowing providers to transmit an unlimited number of attachments in support of electronic medical claims to MEA's repository for payors to view.
FastAttach™ is a Windows based application and is compatible with all medical practice management and revenue cycle management systems. All you need to use FastAttach™ is Internet access and a means to digitize your documents, such as a scanner. You must also be submitting your medical claims electronically. FastAttach™ can be used with any claims clearinghouse as long as the clearinghouse supports HIPAA mandated standards, specifically, the "PWK" section of the HIPAA code sets. Providers realize significant improvements to their revenue cycle management when using FastAttach™ in conjunction with their electronic medical claims.
To use FastAttach™, transmit your attachment to MEA using one of our easy image acquire methods such as file import, print capture or twain scanner; MEA immediately returns a confirmation receipt with an attachment tracking number. You insert the attachment tracking number into the remarks segment of your electronic medical claims. The clearinghouse translates this information to the "PWK" section of the claim format. This allows the claim adjudicator to retrieve the attachments and review both the medical claims and attachments at the same time.
FastAttach™ does NOT require any additional hardware for those physician offices that already have a document imaging system or a scanner.
FastAttach™ allows both the provider and the payor significant savings in cost and employee efficiency by allowing the provider to send and payor to receive electronic healthcare attachments in support of electronic medical claims.
FastAttach™ works in either a real-time application or can be used as a batch communication similar to the present claims technology. Implementation and training for a typical provider is 1 hour and the cost in included in the registration fee.
